How we protect your family's privacy in Aquorbis - Splash Adventure.

Our Commitment to Privacy

Aquorbis - Splash Adventure ("Aquorbis," "the App") is developed by Sandy Brook DevWorks LLC ("we," "us," "our"). Aquorbis is designed for children ages 4 and up, and we take your family's privacy seriously.

In short: We do not collect, store, or share any personal information from our users. The App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's App Store guidelines for Kids category apps.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Aquorbis does not require account creation, login, or registration of any kind. The App does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, locations, photos, or any other personally identifiable information.

All game progress (fish collected, gold earned, upgrades purchased, etc.) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.

Game Center

Aquorbis integrates with Apple Game Center for achievements and leaderboards. Game Center is managed entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your Apple ID or Game Center profile information.

Game Center participation is optional and requires authentication through Apple's system.

Advertising

Aquorbis displays interstitial advertisements provided by Google AdMob. We want to be transparent about how ads work in the App:

  • Age-appropriate ads only. The App is configured with Google AdMob's child-directed treatment enabled (COPPA compliance). The maximum ad content rating is set to "G" (General Audiences), ensuring that only age-appropriate advertisements are shown.
  • No personalized ads. Because child-directed treatment is enabled, ads are not personalized and are not based on user behavior or interests.
  • No tracking of children. The App does not use advertising identifiers to track children. Google's COPPA-compliant ad serving does not collect personal information from children.
  • Ad frequency. Interstitial ads are shown periodically between gameplay sessions (approximately every third dive), not during active gameplay.
  • Remove Ads option. A one-time in-app purchase is available to permanently remove all advertisements from the App. This purchase is protected by a parental gate.

In-App Purchases

Aquorbis offers a single in-app purchase: "Remove Ads." This is a non-consumable purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store.

Parental Gate: In compliance with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines for Kids category apps (Guideline 1.3), a parental gate is presented before any purchase can be initiated. The gate presents a math problem that a young child cannot easily solve, ensuring that a parent or guardian must approve the transaction.

We do not process, store, or have access to any payment information. All transactions are handled by Apple.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple Game Center — Achievements and leaderboards. Managed by Apple under their privacy policy.
  • Google AdMob — Advertising. Configured with child-directed treatment (COPPA mode) and G-rated content only.
  • Apple StoreKit — In-app purchase processing. Managed by Apple.

We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, or other tracking services.

Data Sharing & Storage

We do not share any user data with third parties. We do not have servers that receive data from the App. All game data is stored locally on-device.

Since we do not collect personal information, there is no data to sell, rent, or transfer to any party for any purpose.

Parental Rights

Since we do not collect personal information from children (or any users), there is no personal data to review, delete, or modify. Game save data stored on the device can be removed by deleting the App.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
